ABOUT: Sloane Siobhan is a mixed media oil painter, tattoo artist, and muralist from Charlotte, North Carolina, currently based in Durham, NC but, frequently works in Charlotte.

Sloane Siobhan work depicts black/brown people as empowered ethereal beings. It visualizes the voices that are often unheard and interrupted. “My work does not focus on the struggles and victimization of the oppressed, but instead captures the light and soul of my people. “

She is able to continue this work with The Black On Black Project based in Durham and Charlotte’s very own black arts network, The Pallet Table.

Siobhan received her BFA in Studio Art at Appalachian State University, and has been exhibited at the Harvey Gantt Center for African American Art + Culture. She was one of five featured artists at the Mint Museum Uptown as a tribute to the John T. Biggers collection.

In 2019, Sloane took a leap of faith and drove across the country to Las Vegas, NV to reignite the soul and message of her work, and build lasting connections outside of the Carolinas. Sloane Siobhan was a 2019 city finalist for Art Battle-Las Vegas, and was deeply inspired to serve the Clark County community with large scale murals before returning to the East coast in 2021. Siobhan is currently working on a new series that serves to elevate not only her body of work, but her spirit as well.
